Martin White (Junior) is a natural educator, motivator, youth mentor and personal life coach. He is passionate and enthusiastic about supporting students and youth and has a strong sense of community, valuing the interconnections between cultures for the benefit of everyone. His personal life and work experience across the Northern Territory, Victoria and New South Wales has contributed to his development as an advocate for cultural awareness, respect and sharing of knowledge.
Junior can provide a broad range of student and youth support in mental and physical wellbeing. He instils the benefits of having a positive mindset towards all things in their lives. He has experience as an Educational Support Officer in the classroom and sporting arenas and is a positive role model who demonstrates through his actions how to speak and act respectfully towards others. He is highly considerate of cultural protocols and will ensure that he is fully aware of local customs.
Junior supports all sporting programs running in schools, as well as performing a supporting coaching role for whole-school AFL teams.
Outside of school hours, Junior gives much of his time as a development and game coach for an AFL Youth Girls Team as well as an assistant coach for a women’s open team in the North East Border Competition.
Junior delivers motivational talks for a wide age range of audiences focusing on mental and physical wellbeing, self-determination and cultural awareness. He designs sessions to build self-awareness, confidence and cultural protocols aimed at motivating youth. He is also developing further mentoring, life coaching and sporting coach opportunities within schools and the broader community
Above all, Junior demonstrates a strong professional approach in developing connective relationships across school networks and the community in the support of students’ holistic wellbeing and development.
